Cheryl's Review and Reflection:
This book was first published in London in 1937 as two volumes and republished in 1858 as one volume. Colebrook was a judge in colonial India and became quite fascinated with Indian history and philosophy. Upon his return to England, he wrote about what he learned and was one of the founders of the Royal Asiatic Society.
I came across this book because it is the first quote given in support of the definition for Akasha in the Oxford English Dictionary.

Cheryl's Review and Reflection:
Learning anything about Hinduism requires learning a new set of words usually from Sanskrit. Daunting for the beginner while the more advanced may be in need of reminders from time to time. This Lexicon is a powerful tool in supporting your learning. Browse alphabetically or search on specific words. Probably a good site to bookmark.
