What’s Inside the Book?
A Quick Peek at The New Akashic Records
One aspect that makes this new book stand out from the crown is it’s organization. Rather than the usual chapters, author Cheryl Trine has created a format which utilizes what she calls Strands. This makes the book readable either from start to finish or in any order you’d like. For more information on this read the Author’s Note.
Additionally, The New Akashic Records stands out for its breadth and depth of content. Check out the Table of Contents for a list of the ten sections of the book. This gives you a great idea of the entire content of the book.
Finally, to begin your journey, enjoy Cheryl’s Introduction. Here you will learn about the perspective you will have on this journey called The New Akashic Records.
Author’s Note
The Akashic Records are an ever shifting and intensifying body of knowledge and knowing. Putting their grasp to paper is a bit like herding cats. Think of this book, then, as a snapshot, in one moment of time, of the always expanding.
Additionally, the Akashic Records are not linear but multi-dimensional, an integrated whole sometimes lacking a clearly definable chronology. For example, to understand topic A you need topic B. However, topic B requires understanding topic C, which itself is dependent on topic A. To manage a clearer explanation, I have done away with chapters and have laid the book out in Strands. Each Strand has a topic sentence followed by a commentary. From one point of view, like a tapestry with multiple hues and infinite layers, the Strands are both independent and interwoven, in some cases relying on or foreshadowing information yet to come, overlapping and flowing always within the multiple dimensions of understanding and knowing which comprise the Akashic Records. Or from another perspective, each Strand is like a strip of land jutting into the sea, the far tip beckons to be explored, enticing the reader to come see what lies at the end, promising to give vision of the horizon yet unseen from shore. To aid the reading process, each strand is held within one of thirteen sections easing navigation and establishing general topic categories.
Rising above the linear, the writing of this book itself is an ebb and flow that can be experienced as a spiral transcendence lifting your awareness into your unknown, expanding your knowing. Throughout, a process of weaving together heart and mind, writing this book has been for me spiritual practice. As much workbook as guidebook, I hope and I anticipate that each reading of this book may also be for you, the reader, spiritual practice. May each visit reveal new perspectives for you and for the amazing experience of your life. Enjoy your journey!

Introduction
I come to tell a story that has not been told before except in tiny bits and pieces across the great expanse of recorded human history. We will reach beyond written history in a way that may seem impossible and we will bring together a variety of perspectives into forms yet unwritten and rarely spoken. We will talk about what we know and how we can know what seems unknowable. We will explore the edges of the universe and float with the rivers of divine energy as they form from the unknowable chaos a reality we call our universe, our world. We will bring forward new knowledge.
For many the journey begins by equating the Akashic Records with the Book of Life as described in various religious texts such as the Christian Bible, the Jewish Torah, and the Islamic Qur’an. Because saying “this is like this” helps us begin to understand that which seems incomprehensible, we will examine the history of the Book of Life as iconic metaphor so that we can understand this comparison at the deepest levels of emotional and spiritual insight. Additionally, others on this journey welcome the Akashic Records as being of “Hindu or eastern origin.” Following this thread, we will weave together the western and eastern perspectives of knowing and creation, emphasizing the leading-edge view of the Akashic Records as dynamic, universal source of divine knowing, transcending any one religious doctrine. Finally, we will look toward the idea of the Akashic Records as a heavenly library, moving away from a perspective of static pre-recordings of harsh judgment and pre-determined fate toward understanding of the dynamic nature of energy, information, and knowing.
Simply, the Akashic Records are of knowing, healing, and spiritual practice.
Currently, there are three ways to experience the Akashic Records. The most common is to ask someone so trained to open your Akashic Records for you. You may ask questions and find new possibilities for your life as well as let go of whatever may be holding you back. You may also learn to open your own Akashic Records as well as the Akashic Records for others. Opening the Akashic Records does not require any special spiritual or psychic abilities. All you need is the belief that you can learn and that you are willing to let go of whatever may stand in your way.
This is good news. We are not talking about something that only a few gifted people can accomplish. However, working in and with the Akashic Records requires spiritual discipline and understanding. Do not approach haphazardly or cavalierly. Approach with respect for yourself, with flexibility of mind and heart, and with a willingness to learn. The Akashic Records are about truth, compassion, and learning to see beyond limited expectations.
To understand the Akashic Records, you must, like I have, learn to let go of pre-conceived notions. The challenge is to see beyond what you expect to see, to realize that the world we live in is only a part of a much greater whole. Set aside, as best as you can, whatever you may think you know to expand into your deepest spiritual knowing. We may think we know what knowing and healing are. However, can you set this knowledge aside, for a moment, to consider new perspectives?
The book you hold is about the Akashic Records; it is not an instructional manual for accessing the Akashic Records. However, through receiving this story, you may become aware of the universal flow of All That Is, and will certainly have the opportunity to glimpse from many vantage points the spiritual journey many call the Akashic Records.
Years ago, when I was called to prepare myself to teach, the Akashic Records shared with me a new perspective to help others learn and understand the entirety of the Akashic Records. Moving beyond the metaphors of old, this new perspective begins with the fundamental movement of energy, providing a unique foundation for our journey. To understand the Akashic Records and our place within, we begin with the energy of the divine, within a perspective I call Spiritual Energy Dynamics.
